COLERIDGE — David William Kinghorn, 70, Coleridge, died at his residence June 25, 2023.

No services are being planned. David donated his body to science. Arrangements were under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge.

David William was born March 6, 1952, in Ithaca, N.Y., to William Houghton and Angelina Gloria (Mazza) Kinghorn. Because his father was in the Air Force, David lived in Georgia, Japan and California. He graduated from high school in Georgia. David then attended the American River College, Carmichael, Calif., for two years. David began working for San Cierra Business Systems at Fresno, Calif., as a manager and was then promoted to the general manager position for the same company in Sacramento, Calif. David took on the regional manager position for the Minolta Corporation Business District in Sacramento. He married Glenda Faye Gehle Dec. 23, 1977, in Sacramento. David received brain injuries from a car accident in 1995 and this prevented him from being employed. They lived in Sacramento until 1998 and moved to Minnesota. David and Glenda then moved to Coleridge in May 2015.

David was very talented and did have a degree in art from San Francisco. He enjoyed art, painting and woodworking. He was an avid bass guitar player and played bass guitar for the Casey Arrow Gospel Band weekly while living in Hibbing, Minn. David also had a passion for cars.

David is survived by his wife, Glenda, Coleridge; two children, Jeffrey David Kinghorn, Phoenix, Ariz., and Elizabeth Ann Rose Kinghorn, Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
