Daniel Howard Gould

LAUREL — Daniel Howard Gould, 68, Laurel, died June 9, 2021, at Hillcrest Care Center, Laurel, due to cancer complications.

Memorial services are being planned for July 31, at 10:30 a.m., at the United Methodist Church, Laurel, with the Rev. Patrick Broz officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time, at the church. Burial of his cremated remains will be at the Laurel Cemetery, Laurel.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Laurel.

Daniel was born Aug. 2, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Howard E. and Helen

Pearle (Thompson) Gould. He grew up in the Laurel area and graduated from Laurel High School in 1970. After high school he began farming with his dad and his two brothers, Arlin and Keith. Daniel was still active on the farm until his health changed. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the great outdoors.

Daniel was a member of the Logan Center United Methodist Church in Laurel.

He is survived by his two brothers, Arlin (Toni) Gould, Laurel, and Keith Gould, Laurel; five nieces and nephews, Brian (Amy) Gould, Laurel; Brett Gould, Laurel; Kacie (Chase) Maier, Creighton; Cheyenne Gould, Sioux City, Iowa; and Dawson Gould, Laurel; six greatnieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Helen Gould; and sister-in-law, Noreen Gould.
