Woman reported a disturbance at a Hartington residence with a man and woman arguing. Both parties left town prior to officers’ arrival. Officers learn the two individuals involved were involved in a disturbance in Coleridge a few days prior with woman having a history of making suicidal statements. Officers attempt to locate vehicles and call woman. Yankton was able to contact her and agreed to talk to officers there.

Burglary alarm sounds at Fordyce residence.
Woman asks about inmate visitation and becomes upset with jail visitation policy. “Yankton has better visitation. Thanks for nothing,” she said.
911 call transferred to Yankton. Class ring reported stolen. About four minutes later, ring reportedly found rolled up in woman’s sock. “She was trying to say she wasn’t trying to steal it,” caller said. “Can you guys like dust it for fingerprints or something?” Dispatch advised since woman didn’t leave with the property it technically wasn’t stolen. Caller calls back later that night to say the woman is sitting outside the apartment but she won’t be let inside. “I don’t want to get physical. Actually it cannot because of years of martial arts training in Iowa, I was required to register my hands as lethal weapons.” Caller claims woman has been suicidal and “no doubt she would hurt someone.” Caller calls back later and said woman fell in entry way of residence, hit head and bleeding, alleges woman is heavily medicated and threatening suicide.
