Commissioner Honored

Laurel residents Yvonne Hansen and Shirley Kraemer stand with Cedar County Commissioner Craig Bartels after a new bench honoring the legacy of long-time Cedar County Commissioner Marlen Kraemer was installed Thursday morning at the Cedar County Courthouse. The bench was paid with memorials from Kraemer’s funeral. Kraemer was the longest serving Commissioner in Cedar County history, having served for 28 years.
