Chamber wants to get people out of their houses for a night

Posted in:

HARTINGTON — The gloomy days and the gloomy prognosis hanging over the country are making it tough to smile these days.

The Hartington Chamber of Commerce, City of Hartington and Hartington Economic Development have teamed up to hold a Cruise Night this Friday, April 3, to give local residents a reason to smile and boost morale around the area.

Participants are encouraged to turn in a drawing card from area restaurants, food and beverage providers and Chamber businesses. The drawing cards will only be handed out Friday, April 3, when someone makes a purchase from a Chamber business.

Participants can then take their entry to Pearson Motors and drop it into a bucket for a drawing to be held that evening, at 8:30.

The Chamber will be providing Chamber Bucks for three lucky participants.

“We will draw for one $100 and two $50 prizes,” said Chamber President Karma Schulte. “Obviously, you do not have to be present to win. All cars and pickups are welcome to participate.”

“Let’s have some fun, invite your friends and family and bring some business to town while practicing social distancing,” Schulte said.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Schulte or Economic Development Coordinator Miranda Becker.
