Cedar, Wynot, LCC all make initial State ratings

CENTRAL CITY — Both the Cedar Catholic boys and girls basketball teams enter the 2020-21 basketball season rated as two of the best teams in the State.

The Cedar boys are rated second in Nebraska Class C2, according to the Huskerland Prep Report.  

Grand Island Central Catholic is rated first in the state.

The Cedar girls are rated fourth in the state in the initial Omaha World Herald D1 girls poll of the year. The Wynot girls are rated sixth in Class D2 in the initial World Herald poll of the season.

Huskerland Prep Report released its first Class C2 girls basketball ratings of the season Tuesday.

The initial Top 10 C2 girls basketball poll of the year features seven Northeast Nebraska teams. Three of those teams are in the tough MidStates Conference, while the Lewis and Clark Conference is represented by Ponca.
