Cedar golf team qualifies for State

BATTLE CREEK — The Cedar Catholic golf team earned a trip to state at Monday’s C-3 District tournament here.

Cedar will now compete in the Class C state championships Monday and Tuesday at the Lake Mahoney Golf Club in North Platte. 

Cedar finished Monday’s competition with a 414. Battle Creek won the event with a 397, while Norfolk Catholic finished in second with a 401. Maizie Christensen earned a Top 10 finish with her team-high 99.

Battle Creek 397, Norfolk Catholic 401, Hartington CC 414, West Holt 432, Thurston County 459, O’Neill 459, LCC 468, Pierce 475, Ainsworth 534, Wayne 556, Elkhorn Valley 560. Crofton and Stanton did not field a full team.
