Cedar duo earn All State honors
HARTINGTON — A pair of Cedar Catholic football standouts were recently recognized as two of the best in the State.
Myles Thoene and Easton Becker both earned spots on the First Team All State teams for several statewide publications.
Thoene, a 5-10, 160-pound senior, earned a spot on the elite team as a defensive back by both the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star sportswriters.
Becker, a 5-10, 200-pound junior, earned First Team All State honors for two different positions. Huskerland Prep Report put him on its All State First Team as a running back. He was named to the Omaha World Herald All State First Team as a member of the Cedar Catholic defensive line. The Lincoln Journal Star recognized his talents, but wasn’t quite sure where to place him, so they gave him a spot on their All State First Team as an athlete.

He truly stood out for Cedar this year as one of the team’s leading tacklers and as the go-to guy in the Cedar ground attack. Becker churned out yards this season on carries.
