Cedar County News will work with young journalists

HARTINGTON — Cedar County News co-publishers Rob Dump and Peggy Year spoke last week with the Hartington-Newcastle High School Journalism class.

The local couple talked ot students about the importance of community journalism. They also gave out a few reporting and writing tips.

Journalism class instructor Teresa O’Brien will be teaming up with the Cedar County News to have some of the students’ work published in the newspaper this year.

The first articles from the students are expected to be published in the Oct. 21 issue of the newspaper.
