Cedar boys top Pender in first-round Shootout action
WAYNE — Cedar Catholic shook off a slow start, then poured it on to earn a 69-43 first-round win over Pender in the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout Monday.

Cedar will now take on Pierce Wednesday in semifinal action.
Cedar was led to Monday’s win by a balanced attack. Myles Thoene hit for a team-high 15 points, while Jaxson Bernecker added 12 and Mack Kuehn had a season-high 11 points.
