Boys Basketball Subdistrict Brackets Released

HARTINGTON - The NSAA released the boys’ basketball Subdistrict brackets on Friday, following the conclusion of girls’ Subdistricts on Thursday night.

In potentially the toughest Subdistrict in Class C2, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge grabs the top seed, followed by Ponca, Cedar Catholic, and Crofton.

The four teams play in Subdistrict C2-7 at Wayne High School starting on Tuesday night.

LCC plays four seed Crofton at 6:00 P.M., with two seed Ponca against three seed Cedar Catholic following at approximately 7:45 P.M. The winners of those two games will play in the Subdistrict Finals on Thursday at 7:00 P.M.

Hartington-Newcastle earned the top seed in Subdistrict D1-5 at Wausa High School.

HNS plays four seed Elkhorn Valley on Tuesday night at 6:00 P.M., with two seed Bloomfield and three seed Plainview following in the next game at around 7:45 P.M. The winners of the two games will play in Wausa on Thursday night at 7:00 P.M.

Lastly, Cedar Catholic will host five area schools in Subdistrict D2-4 starting on Monday night. 

Four seed Wynot and five seed Santee face off to see who wins to advance and face top seed Osmond on Tuesday. Osmond plays in the first Subdistrict semifinal game at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday night, and two seed Wausa and three seed Randolph follow in the next semifinal game starting around 7:30 P.M.

The winners of the two semifinal games will play on Thursday night at 7:00 P.M.

Winners of each Subdistrict Final will advance to a District Final, one game away from the state tournament in Lincoln.
