PIERCE — Beverly J. Henzler, 69, Pierce, April 29, 2018, at the Faith Regional Hospital, Norfolk. Visitation was Wednesday at the Stonacek Memorial Chapel, Pierce. Funeral service were May 3 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Pierce. Interment was at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Pierce. Casketbearers were D.J. Vyhlidal, Matt Sakville, Ryan Saegebarth, Brad Albers and Doug Albers. Stonacek Memorial Chapel, Pierce, was in charge of the arrangements. Beverly Jean Henzler, daughter of Archie and Irene (Schlender) Wetjen, was born Jan. 12, 1949, in Norfolk. Beverly grew up in Madison County. She was baptized Feb. 20, 1949, and confirmed May 26, 1963, both at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madison. She graduated from Madison High School in 1967. She married Don Henzler Aug. 18, 1973, at Trinity Lutheran, Madison. The couple farmed northeast of Pierce. Beverly enjoyed cooking and was a great cook for 25 years at Jerry’s Hilltop, rural Randolph. She also did cooking over the years at the Pierce Senior Center and Pierce County Jail. She retired in 2009 from Jerry’s Hilltop. Beverly loved her farm chores and taking care of her cats, going to auctions and sales. The Albers family and Jerry’s Hilltop employees were very dear to the Henzler family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pierce. Survivors include two sons, Mark Henzler, Pierce, and Dean Henzler, Pierce; and a brother, Larry (Kim) Wetjen, Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Irene; a daughter in infancy; and her spouse, Don, who died Aug. 19, 1988
