Becker house stands out for its Christmas decorations

HARTINGTON — Area residents have spoken.

After all votes have been tallied, the home of Trent and Shelly Becker, 202 W. State Street, has been awarded first place honors in the Hartington Chamber of Commerce Christmas lighting contest.

The Dean and Jerelda McGregor home at 412 W. Darlene Street, earned second-place honors in the contest, which ran from Dec. 2-18.

The Bill and Pat Meyer residence at 88376 565 Ave. took home thirdplace honors in this year's contest.

There were 25 entries in this year's contest, with 19 of the 25 houses receiving votes. In all, more than 120 ballots were cast.

This year's winner receives $50 in Chamber Bucks, while second place is awarded $30 and third place takes home $20 in Chamber Bucks.
