Ballots arrive this week

Posted in:

HARTINGTON — All registered voters in Cedar, Dixon and Knox counties should have a ballot in their mailbox this week.

Cedar, Dixon and Knox counties are all all-mail counties. There are 11 such counties in Nebraska.

Cedar County Clerk Dave Dowling said ballots will be automatically mailed to eligible Cedar County registered voters on Oct. 14, 2020.

No application is necessary for registered voters to have their ballot mailed, he said.

Any Cedar County resident wishing to vote in the General Election on Nov. 3 must be registered at the Cedar County Clerk’s Office by no later than Friday, Oct. 23, he said. The Cedar County Clerk’s Office will remain open until 6 p.m., that day, for in-person registration, Dowling said.

Any 17-year-olds who will be 18 years of age by Nov. 3, 2020, may register at this time and vote in the General Election ballot.
