AWG Cares supports Coleridge Area Fund/Coleridge Ambulance Service

Posted in:

COLERIDGE — Recently, Associated Wholesale Grocers employees from the Nebraska Division proudly presented a $2,500 grant award to the Coleridge Area Fund, an affiliate fund of Nebraska Community Foundation, Coleridge, for the Coleridge Ambulance Service/Rescue Squad. This AWG Cares grant award was made possible by Cynthia Puntney, AWG Nebraska employee, who submitted the grant request to the AWG Cares Committee. The Coleridge Area Fund is a community-led effort to use philanthropy to sustain and build the community of Coleridge and the surrounding area. The Fund works to increase charitable giving and to make grants that help create a sustainable and prosperous community. The Fund encourages people from all walks of life to give back to the community by providing a full range of charitable giving opportunities.

The $2,500 will be used to enhance the equipment needs of the Coleridge Ambulance Service/ Rescue Squad. These upgrades will be a blessing to Coleridge and beyond. The Coleridge Ambulance Service is in the middle of Cedar County. They are a small volunteer ambulance service that covers the Village of Coleridge, population 476, and a rural area of 126 square miles that make up the Coleridge Rural Fire District.
