Area man arrested after disturbance at bank

LAUREL — A Tuesday morning disturbance at Security Bank here has resulted in the arrest of an area man.
Paul Koch was arrested by Laurel Police Chief Ron Lundahl around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday.
Koch reportedly entered the bank and was alledgedly threatening employees, prompting them to call in law enforcement.
Laurel Police, the Cedar County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Nebraska State Patrol all responded to the scene, blocking off the street in front of the bank.
Koch was arrested and lodged at the Cedar County Jail. As of press time no charges had yet been filed against him.
