JACKSON — Ann Jean Janssen, 80, Jackson, died Jan. 29, 2018, at the care center in Ponca. Visitation, with a Scriptural Wake Service, was Feb. 1 at the church. Funeral services were Feb. 2 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Jackson, with Father Paul Albenesius officiating. Graveside services were held at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Hartington. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home, South Sioux City, was in charge of the arrangements. Ann was born May 24, 1937, in Hartington, to Henry and Ann (McFadden) Burbach. She graduated from Cedar Catholic High School, Hartington, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She taught in St. Mary’s Catholic School, Bellevue, the Bellevue public school and was a substitute teacher in the Omaha Public Schools. She married LeRoy A. Janssen Dec. 27, 1969, in Bellevue. Ann was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bellevue. Survivors include her husband, LeRoy; a son, Douglas, and his wife, Stacey, Jackson; a daughter, Lisa Janssen, and her significant other, Greg Rosenboon, Lincoln; and two grandchildren, Megan and Katie Janssen. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Donald, Henry, Leonard, Father Jude; two sisters, Delores Johnson and Virginia Burbach; infant brother, Daniel Burbach; and two infant sisters, Mureen and Genevieve Burbach.
