Alexis Rose Laible

EMMET — A Funeral Mass for Alexis Laible, 12, Emmet, was 10:30 a.m., July 21, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Atkinson, with Rev. Bernard Starman officiating. Burial was in O’Neill Cemetery. Lunch was served in O’Neill following the burial. Visitation was 5-7 p.m., July 20, at Biglin’s Mortuary, O’Neill. The family requested casual attire be worn at the visitation and the funeral. Alexis died as the result of an ATV accident July 18, 2023, near her home in Emmet. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin’s Mortuary of O’Neill. Alexis Rose Laible was born Sept. 9, 2010, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Dustin and Lori (Nordby) Laible. She attended O’Neill Public Schools, where she enjoyed socializing with her friends and cheering on her siblings. Alexis liked to talk – non-stop it seemed. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, movie night with her family and she loved a good dance party. Alexis appreciated every minute of being in nature - enjoying camping, riding her bike, and swimming in the pool.

Spending time with family was important to Alexis. She was the life of the party of the cousin crew. Alexis could oftentimes be found playing for hours with any and all animals she could get her hands on.

Alexis is survived by her parents, Dustin and Lori Laible, and siblings, Kiley, Gus, and Reid Laible, all of Emmet; grandparents, Steve (Marti) Nordby, Coleridge; Tom (Bonnie) Steinhauser, Creighton; and Ron (Joyce) Laible, Shelby; great-grandmother, Punk Steinhauser, Stuart; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
