Nighttime work will begin on U.S. 81 in Norfolk

NORFOLK — Weather permitting, the week of Sept. 1, nighttime work will begin on U.S. Highway 81 (US-81) (13th Street) in Norfolk, from Pasewalk Avenue to South Airport Road, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Work will include milling of the existing asphalt pavement and placement of new asphalt pavement. The anticipated hours of operation for this work will be 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions and temporary traffic control devices.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
