O’NEILL - Atkinson West Holt won the O’Neill Invitational over Valentine by nearly 30 strokes, Cedar Catholic had no team score with only two golfers playing in the tournament.
The Lady Huskies won at 377, the Lady Badgers were second after shooting a 406, Battle Creek was third with a 410, Norfolk Catholic was fourth at 434 and Wayne rounded out the top five with a 439.
Delani Knust was the medalist after Carding a 79 for West Holt, 16 shots ahead of runner-up Brinley Kirkman, also from West Holt.
Samantha Sprenger of Valentine was third, also at 95 while Carli Canham of Wayne was fourth with a 96.
The rest of the top 10 was made up of Jaiden Ertzner of Battle Creek with a 97, Alexa Suing of Crofton with a 99, Hallie Heithold of Wayne with a 100, Hannah Hooey from West Holt at 100 was eighth, Hannah Barr from Norfolk Catholic was ninth at 100 and Makenna Hughes from Battle Creek was 10th after carding a 101.
Elsie Haahr was the top Cedar Catholic golfer after shooting a 145 which was good enough for 50th and Grace Kruse fired a 182 which put her in 57th.
The Lady Trojans will be back in action Sept. 2 in a duel with Crofton then travel to Stanton Sept. 4 for the Stanton Invitational.
