LAUREL -— Laurel-Concord-Coleridge girls golf coach, Christina Patefield welcomed nine hopefuls to this year’s squad, and plenty returning from the team that finished seventh at last year’s Class C State Golf Championships at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.
Four seniors, three juniors, a sophomore and a freshman will make up the Lady Bears team this fall.
Danica Gould, Kennedy Hall, Stella Kock and Holly Patefield are the returning seniors; Harper Bruning, Macis Jones and Tanya Miranda are the returning juniors; Alyza Leonard is the sophomore and Ambriella Kock is the lone newcomer.
Patefield, Bruning and Gould were a part of last season’s state team with Patefield posting the lowest score in North Platte of the returners with a two-day total of 192 after carding a 99 the first day and a 93 on the final day of the tournament.
Bruning carded a 204 and Gould recorded a 239 over 36 holes.
The Lady Bears open the 2025 season at Indian Trails Country Club just outside of Beemer in the West Point-Beemer Invitational on Aug. 21.
The Wayne Invitational is scheduled for Aug. 29, the Stanton Invite is set for Sept. 4, The Pierce Invite is on Sept. 13.
LCC will host a triangular at Cedarview Country Club on Sept. 16 before the Lady Bears head back to Wayne for another invitational on Sept. 25.
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Invitational is set for Sept. 27 before the Lady Bears head to Hartington Country Club for the Cedar Catholic Invitational on Sept. 29.
The Class C District tournaments will be held Oct. 5 or Oct. 6 with the state tournament scheduled for Oct. 13 and 14 back at Lake Maloney.
