RANDOLPH — Randolph Public School welcomed Brooklyn Braun as a member of its high school teaching staff this fall.
She knows this area very well.
She was raised on a farm in Winside.
Braun said she loves animals, horseback riding and rural Nebraska schools. “It was important to me to stay in a small town in Nebraska to teach. I really like the atmosphere a small town school provides,” said Braun.
She will teach business education classes to 7-12 graders this year at Randolph.
Braun graduated from Wayne State College last May with a business, marketing and information technology degree with a minor in work-based learning.
“I’m super excited to be able to get to know my students and teach them new things,” said Braun. “I want to be able to be the teacher I needed when I was a student.”
Braun said she was inspired to become an educator by one of her former teachers.
“I saw the way they were able to make a difference in so many students’ lives,” said Braun.
She wants to be able to do the same for her students.
Braun said she has real a passion for helping others learn about new things and hopes to make a positive impact on the students in her first year of teaching.
