Gospel concert planned in Laurel on Aug. 16

LAUREL — On Saturday, Aug. 16, at 6:30 p.m., Greg Hager and Jan Schiferl will perform a country gospel concert at Faith Community Church, 302 Elm St., Laurel.

Greg Hager is a Nashville-produced musician. He is a singer, song-writer and accomplished musician. He hails from Valley, N.D. and has toured all over the United States and recently returned from his fourth tour in Japan. He carries the title of Entertainer of the Year with the Pro Cowboy Country Artist Association and the Academy of Western Artists “Artist of the Year”. His rural western roots run deep and he writes and sings about the life he knows and lives. He brings positivity to his audience sharing Good News in song. He has recorded 9 albums, one in Japanese.

Jan is a singer, songwriter and story teller. She was recently nominated by the Academy of Western Artists as Western Music Female of the Year. She has performed at fairs and festivals throughout the Midwest. Jan has regularly appeared at the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering in Fort Worth Texas, The Durango Cowboy Gathering in Colorado and many other venues.

She has recorded two albums, both of which won awards from the Rural Roots Music Association. She and her husband operate the WJ Ranch in Northeast Nebraska where they train horses, raise cattle and host family events such as their annual concerts and Cowboy Christmas. She has a passion to share music to not only entertain, but to shine God’s light.

This night of great music will entertain and uplift all ages. Free Will Offering will be taken. All are welcome.
