School bells to ring here next week

HARTINGTON — Summer will come to a screeching halt next week for Hartington area school children.

School starts at all Hartington area schools Thursday, Aug. 14. The day will also feature an early dismissal.

The week will be jam-packed with other activities, as well.

Hartington-Newcastle School will welcome students back with a preschool to 12th grade open house the evening of Aug. 13.

Both schools will hold their Booster Club kickoffs next week, as well. On Aug. 14, the Cedar Booster Club kick off will take place, while the HNS Booster Club Kickoff is slated for Aug. 15.

The annual Holy Trinity Fly in breakfast will be held Sunday, Aug. 17.
