HARTINGTON — Practice for the new sports season begins Monday.

The Nebraska School Activities Association mandates that schools cannot begin practicing for the Fall sports of football, volleyball, golf and cross country until Aug. 11.

Hartington’s two schools will also hold their annual Booster Club kickoffs next week.

The Cedar Catholic Booster Club kickoff is set for Aug. 14, while the HNS Booster Club kickoff celebration will be Aug.15.

The first contest of the new season will take place Aug. 21 when the Cedar-Hartington-Newcastle golf team travels to O’Neill.
