HARTINGTON - Al J. Werthman, operator of the Art Center Studio, was elected vice president of the Professional Nebraska Photographers Association at a convention in Omaha this week.
Werthman was secretarytreasurer of the organization. His duties will include editing the Nebraska Photographers Magazine and other publications of the group. Mr. and Mrs. Werthman arrived home Tuesday evening from the three-day convention. Classes were conducted by outstanding photographers on dierent phases of photography.

ST. HELENA — Sgt. Kenneth R. Wieseler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wieseler, received his discharge from the army July 12 at Camp Ord, Calif. He was stationed in Japan the past 30 months. He is spending two weeks at the home of his parents.

HARTINGTON - Lt. Robert J. Leise, son of Mr. and Mrs. August J. Leise of Hartington, recently arrived in Hawaii where he will serve with the 25th Infantry Division. Lt. Leise, an ROTC ocer at Marquette university, entered the army last January.

HARTINGTON - Miss Sharon Forinash took the entrance tests at the Sacred Heart School of Nursing at Yankton Saturday. She plans to enter nurses training there August 30.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Forinash accompanied her to Yankton.

HARTINGTON - Mr. and Mrs. Roger Albers and Mrs. Frances Kalin and son accompanied A/2c William Kalin to Yankton Sunday evening where he took the train for Seattle, Wash.
He will be stationed at Camp Fairchild. He had been stationed at Lowry Field, Colo.
