EUGENE, Ore. – One of the best to wear a Coyote uniform is set to represent the red and white one final time this weekend, as Sara Reif - enrath is going to be competing in the 400-meters at the United States Track and Field Championships this weekend in Eugene.

Reifenrath, a 23-time Summit League Champion, is set to race in the same event that she made the NCAA Championships in a little over a month ago, running the 400-meters. Reifenrath was an honorable mention all-American after her performance on this same track in June. Her personal best of 51.91 was set at the NCAA West First Rounds this year, and is the time that got her into the USATF Champi - onships this weekend.

The semifinal of the 400-meters is scheduled for 4:47 p.m. local (Pacific) time, or 6:47 p.m. Central Time Friday. The final of the 400-me - ters is slated for 1:03 p.m. Pacific (3:03 p.m. Central) Saturday.

Three other athletes competing at the Championships have USD ties. Alums Chris Nilsen and Emily Grove are set to compete in the men's and women's pole vault competitions this weekend. Assistant Coach Maggie Ewen is set to compete in the women’s shot put competition.

Nilsen, the indoor USATF Champion this year, will go for the sweep Saturday, with a competition start time of 12:50 p.m. Pacific (2:50 p.m. Central). Grove and the women's pole vaulters will have to wait an additional day, as they don't compete until Sunday, starting at Noon Pacific (2 p.m. Central). Ewen's turn to compete is Saturday at 12:45 p.m. Pacific (2:45 p.m. Central).
