RANDOLPH — SN William Lenhoff returned to California July 11 after spending a leave at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Lenhoff. He expects to leave soon for duty with the 7th Fleet in Southeast Asia.

RANDOLPH — Mr. and Mrs. Don Owens have purchased the property along highway 20 belonging to Lester Lambing, which was formerly a service station. Mr. and Mrs. Owens have reopened the station and are offering APCO gasoline and all popular brands of motor oil.

RANDOLPH — Ten members of Boy Scout troop 203 returned Saturday after a week at Boy Scout Camp Cedars near Cedar Bluffs. Wes Moench spent the week with the boys, and others with them at various times were Harold Bartlett, Pete Milander, Bob Sellon and LeRoy Spieker.

RANDOLPH — The Randolph girls softball team qualified for the State Class A tournament over the weekend as they gained runner-up honors in the district tournament at Osmond. In the state tournament July 18-20 at Grand Island the girls will compete against teams from Lincoln, Omaha, Grand Island and teams from other towns in Nebraska.

RANDOLPH — Gail Van Slyke of Alamosa, Colo. Recently won the San Luis Valley Bankers Invitational Golf Tournament played at the Baca Grande Golf Course.

RANDOLPH — Wilma Wilkinson was presented the 1990 Employee of the Year award at the Randolph Fair barbecue Tuesday evening. Ernest Witte was awarded the 1990 Randolph Community Good Neighbor award.

RANDOLPH — Vaughn Sievers showed the Grand and Reserve Champion beef-breeding heifers at this year’s Community Club Fair.
