LESTERVILLE — The Wynot Expos were cruising along with a 5-2 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth inning.
Unfortunately, the tides turned in the Lesterville half of frame and the Broncs scored five runs to sneak off with a 7-5 win over the Expos on July 14.
Landon Wieseler started on the mound for the Expos and tossed six solid innings of baseball where he gave up just three hits and no runs.
But the Broncs scored a couple of runs in the seventh and the five in the eighth to send the Expos south with the loss.
David Schenk and Peyton Wieseler each drove in a couple of runs, Lee Heimes scored twice. Devon Lammers, Landon Wieseler and Jalen Wieseler each hit a double in the game.
Wynot will play its last regular season game on July 17 when they travel to Menno.
Lesterville Broncs defeated the Wynot Expos 7-5.
