RANDOLPH - The unusual high water and floods have played havoc with bridges in this section and many new ones must be built this year.
At the Boughn place along the Burlington track east of town the small bridge is out and the Wareham road is consequently closed to travel, the road straight east past the L. H. Harting farm being used. The county unloaded at Randolph this week two carloads of bridge plank and other material to build this bridge.
Steel beams are on the ground for a small bridge at the John Rogers farm just north of the cemetery to rebuild a place that is in bad condition. And at the George Worland place a bridge five feet high will be put in.
This will raise the road just north of the track and the bridge will be wide and high enough to take care of the water that comes down and makes such a mess of things in that place. Mr. Worland will soon haul out the material.
Another bridge that has been recently repaired is in the city limits along the M. & O. track on the Sholes road. Concrete from the big paving mixer has been used in this work.
