Area girls participate in Rodeo Queen competition

HARTINGTON — Four area girls, ranging in age from 16 to 21 will compete Saturday for the title of Cedar County Rodeo Queen.

The event, which begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cedar County Fair rodeo grounds, is free and open to the public.

This year’s contestants are: Raylyn Behmer, the 16-year old daughter of Nate and Tara Behmer of Hoskins.

Abigail Lipp, the 18 year old daughter of Joel and Kristi Lipp of Laurel. Jozlyn Anderson, the 21 year old daughter of Deon and Christy Anderson of Plainview.

Breanna Millard, the 18 year old daughter of Corey and Mindy Millard of Martinsburg.

The contestants must perform many different riding tasks in front of a judging panel. The winner will then be crowned as the 2025 Cedar County Rodeo Queen and will have special duties throughout the Cedar County Fair, especially during the pro rodeo event on Thursday, July 16.
