WAYNE — In conjunction with the Wayne Chicken Show, Wayne State College will present five planetarium and laser shows Saturday, July 12.

Admission is free and open to the public, but free-will donations are accepted.

The show “Earth, Moon, and Sun” will begin the day at noon, followed by the laser show “Classic Rock” at 1 p.m., “Oasis in Space” at 2 p.m., and the laser show “Variety Pack” at 3 p.m. The shows conclude with “STARS” at 4 p.m.

“Earth, Moon, and Sun” will explore the relationship between the Earth, moon, and sun.

“Oasis in Space” will transport the audience on a startling and beautiful voyage through the universe, galaxy, and solar system in search of liquid water, a key ingredient for life on Earth.

In “STARS,” audience members will journey to the farthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of stars.

The planetarium is located on the lowest level of Wayne State’s Carhart Science Building.
