Neb. Environmental Trust opens applications for 2026 grant

LINCOLN — The Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) grant cycle for funding year 2026 will open for applications on Monday, July 14, 2025. Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Up to $25 million is available for the 2026 grant cycle.

The funds, awarded through NET, will support the mission to conserve, enhance, and restore Nebraska’s natural environments. More information on NET can be found on the NET website (https://environmentaltrust.nebraska. gov).

Who Can Apply/What Qualifies

Individuals, public entities, and private organizations are welcome to apply.

There are no restrictions on applicants or project sponsors as long as the project falls within the eligibility criteria (see links below). Successful grant applications will address one or more of the following categories: habitat, surface and ground water, waste management, air quality, or soil management.
