June 1: 911 call came in, but call transferred to Pierce County.

Caller advised there is a drunk driver driving a black Buick heading south on Highway 81 from Yankton.

An emergency call received from On Star stating a rollover accident involving a black Chevy Malibu on Highway 20. It is unknown at this time if there are any injuries. Laurel Fire and Rescue squad is paged out.

Burn permit issued for Dennis Kleinschmit.

Caller who was involved in Friday night accident calls to ask for the accident report and names of individuals involved. He is told that information will be available when the report is completed.

An abandoned 911 call came in. Upon call back, dispatcher was told the caller left his ‘’phone on the top of the car and it fell o. I guess it must have thought it was a crash and automatically called 911. ‘’ Caller reports reckless drivers in white and blue Chevy pickups with North Dakota plates 15 miles south of Yankton, S.D. On Highway 81. “They have made three people take the shoulder. There is a line of three boats and they are just chomping at the bit to get by them. Someone is going to get killed.’’

Female caller reports she is having chest pains and asks for an ambulance. Randolph is dispatched.

Columbus hospital calls to report they have a child at their facility that was bitten by a bat while in Laurel.

June 2: Caller asked if someone could come to her house because, ‘’I have a mouse in a trap in my garage.’’ She was told the sheris department was unable to help.

Crofton and Fordyce fire departments paged out for a hay bale fire.

Woman calls to report a sexual assault in the Laurel area.

Prisoner is complaining of chest pains and is transported to the Hartington Avera Sacred Heart Medical Clinic.

June 3: Knox County emergency dispatch called to say their phones and internet are down, and asked if they could have calls transferred to Cedar County.

Woman calls about a property dispute. Dispatcher advised her to contact an attorney.

Norfolk police department called to ask for help trying to contact a Randolph resident concerning a hit and run accident.

Called said she is driving east on Highway 59 south of Wausa and saw a cow out on the road.

Driver called to report a drunk driver on Highway 81 13 miles north of Norfolk. Call transferred to Pierce County.

Caller reported that ‘’someone left a huge pile of dirt on the highway. I just don’t want someone hitting it after dark.’’

Randolph ambulance dispatched for someone that had a bad reaction after taking too much of their medication and “we cannot get awake.’’

Caller reported she locked herself out of her vehicle. She was told to contact Peitz GMC.

Woman called to see if there were any accidents on Highway 81. Her husband is returning from a fishing trip and she has been unable to reach him.

Caller reported seeing two cows on the side of the road just north of Highway 12 on Highway 81.
