Cedar County girls help promote the dairy industry

WEST POINT – Four Cedar County girls were recently named as Nebraska Dairy Ambassadors.

They are: Jenna Albers, Randolph, is a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Joslyn Hochstein, Wynot, is a 2025 Wynot High School graduate. She said she has been involved in the dairy industry most of her life. Eliza Lange, Hartington, a 2025 Wynot High School graduate who was born and raised on a dairy and beef farm, and has been active in the industry most of her life. Ava Noecker, Hartington, a 2025 Cedar Catholic High School graduate, also grew up on a dairy farm. Noecker said the dairy community 'has a special place,' in her heart and she hopes she can continue to make a difference in it. The Midwest Dairy program is designed to develop young dairy leaders, The 2025 Nebraska Dairy Ambassadors were selected during the 2025 Nebraska Dairy Convention in West Point in February. These students promote the dairy community and support Midwest Dairy’s mission to give consumers an excellent dairy experience at a variety of activities throughout the year. The 2025 dairy ambassadors were selected from multiple applications. These students have a passion for dairy, are enrolled as Nebraska high school and post-secondary school students and possess strong communication abilities. These students represent the dairy industry in a variety of activities, including interacting with consumers at local and state-wide events, youth educational presentations, and attendance at dairy industry trainings and meetings.

The Dairy Ambassador program also provides students with leadership opportunities to connect with consumers and share their dairy stories while networking with their peers and industry professionals.

Others named as Nebraska Dairy Ambassadors were: Clara Bates, Racine, Wisconsin, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln student Shaylee Heidtbrink, Malcom, a Malcom High School student.

Brianna Klabenes, Chambers a University of Nebraska-Lincoln student.

Jenna Muntz, Louisville a Concordia University student. Emily Rempel, Beatrice, is a University of Nebraska-Lincoln student Brylee Ross, Abilene, Texas, attends Midland University. Upon the successful completion of the one-year program, ambassadors are eligible for up to a $1,000 educational scholarship.
