With more than three decades of experience in the insurance industry, Arens brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to serving clients across northeast Nebraska.
A native of Hartington, Nebraska, Arens is a Hartington Cedar Catholic High School graduate who earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kearney State College. His insurance career began in 1989 with State Farm Insurance, where he worked in the claims department until 2017. For the past eight years, he served as an independent insurance agent in both Norfolk and Hartington before joining Midwest Bank Agency.
Arens holds several professional insurance designations, including CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), AIS (Associate of Insurance Services), and CGI (Certificate in General Insurance). His commitment to professionalism and ongoing education underscores his dedication to offering clients expert guidance and personalized service.
In addition to his insurance expertise, Arens is active in the Norfolk community. He has served on the Norfolk City Council since 2020 and currently holds the position of Council President. He has also been a licensed Realtor in Nebraska since 2013.
Outside work, Arens enjoys various outdoor activities, including golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake. He and his wife, Cindy, have been married for 28 years.
