LAUREL - Haskell Field was the site Thursday for the 2025 Jim Winch Invitational hosted by Winside.
Tri County Northeast won both of the team titles.
The Lady Wolfpack won 152-120 over Wausa and the Wolfpack scratched out a 118-115 win over the Vikings.
The Bears tied for fourth with 56 points and the Lady Bears were third, just a couple of points behind the Lady Vikings as the regular track and field season heads into districts.
The Lady Bears had a great day on the track led by Carlie Kvols, Kate Tasler and a couple of relay teams which all earned gold medals.
Kvols won the 800 in a time of 2-minutes, 34.02 seconds, just .28 seconds in front of Tasler and Tasler won the 1,600 with a time of 6:03.46.
Justice Olson was sixth in the 800, second in the 1.600 and finished third in the 3,200.
Ava Christiansen and Addy Hoeppner were behind Olson in the 3,200 respectively and Leah Gould was fifth in the 1,600.
Taelynn Settje had a successful day, grabbing second in the long jump, fourth in the 200 and fifth in the 100.
Teammates Karli Ferris and Grace Galvin were fifth and sixth in the long jump and Hattie McCorkindale was fifth in the 200.
Galvin was also fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and Tyler Recob took fifth in the 400.
Laney Folkers led three Lady Bears in the medals in the triple jump finishing third. Ferris was fifth and Taliya Sims was sixth.
Tali Erwin grabbed third in the high jump and Madyson Carpenter was fifth in the discus.
The LCC 1,600-meter relay squad of Mc-Corkindale, Erwin, Recob and Kvols won the event with a time of 4:26.50 and the team of Kvols, Recob, Olson and Tasler won the 3,200-meter relay in 10:34.60.
The Lady Bear 400-meter team of McCorkindale, Settje, Galvin and Jolynn Kincaid placed third.
Shane Langford and Preston Rose led the Bears in the meet with a couple of first-place finishes.
Langford won the 1,600 in 5:14.58 and Rose circled the track once in 52.38 for his gold medal.
Hunter Benson was sixth in the 400 and Dillion Sanderson was sixth in the 1,600.
The Bears placed three runners in the medals in the 800. Carter Korth was fourth in the event, Langford was fifth and Sebaastian Van Drongelen was sixth.
Luke Jackson was fifth in the 3,200 with Van Drongelen sixth and Nathan Boysen was sixth in the 100.
Jaylen Carpenter was third in the shot with a heave of 44-feet-9.5-inches and Ian Sohler and Dayton Korth were fifth and sixth in the triple jump.
The LCC 3,200-meter relay team of Langford, Van Drongelen, Benson and Carter Korth circled the track eight times in 9:31.21 for a gold medal. The Bears 400-meter and 1,600-meter teams each placed fifth.
Both teams will head to the C-3 District Track Meet May 15 in Ponca.
