RANDOLPH — Competing on their home track, the Randolph High School girls put together a solid performance Thursday, to take third in their own invitational.
The Randolph girls earned points across the board in field events and sprints, but it was their dominance in the field events — the long jump, triple jump and the shotput and discus that stole the spotlight.
TheRandolphboyswereledbyLuke Harder, who once again dominated the triplejumpcompetitiontoearngold.He earned silver in the high jump.
Gage Jensen earned fourth-place honors in the discus throw, while Stewart Umberger was fifth in the shot put.
For the girls, Randolph’s Mabel Ngebeh won the shotput and tied for first in the discus.
Abbey Backer, Lilly Kuchta, and Emilee Olsen swept the long jump competition for first-through third.
Backer also earned silver in the 100-meter dash.
Olson earned fourth-place honors in the triple jump, sailing for a 30-4.5.
