Wynot track competes at L&C Meet
WINNEBAGO - The Wynot Blue Devil and Lady Blue Devil track teams headed to Winnebago May
3 for the Lewis & Clark Conference Track and Field Championships.
Creighton took the boys’ title home by just two points, 101-99, over Homer and the Homer girls outlasted Tri County Northeast
123-108 for the girls’ championship.
The Blue Devils posted five points while the Lady Blue Devils scored 14.
The Lady Blue Devils posted all of their points in one event, the open 800-meters.
Eliza Lange won a conference title using a time of 2-minutes,
33.11-seconds to win the event with teammate, Addison Sharpe on her heels in 2:42.38 which put her in fourth.
For the Blue Devils, Lane Heimes accounted for all of the individual points on the day and the
3,200 relay team of Jace Lange, Kreyton Koch, Trey Gowery and Bentley Guenther circled the track eight times in 10:47.56 to place fifth.
Heimes placed fifth in the high jump and sixth in the 100-meters.
Both teams are scheduled to be back in action, in the district meet, May 14 in Humphrey.
