COLERIDGE — The recent Coleridge community blood drive had an incredible turnout, with 10 donors stepping up and 12 units of blood collected - enough to help up to 36 patients. Among these lifesaving contributions, the drive also welcomed one first-time donor into the LifeServe Blood Center community. Richard Arduser reached the 12 gallon milestone in donations.
Things to note, the weight requirement for donors has been lowered to 110 lbs., and the 180-day deferral for young female donors has been removed.
The City of Coleridge helped to coordinate this event, which was hosted by Coleridge Fire Hall.
The next Community blood drive will be noon-3:30 p.m., June 25, at the Coleridge Community center.
