School year is beginning to wind down

LAUREL — As the temperatures begin to rise and the days start to get longer, area schools are beginning to wind down the school year.

There are several annual events and activities for Laurel-Concord- Coleridge students as the school year nears an end.

The athletic banquet will be held Sunday, April 27 at the Laurel Community Center. The event begins at 6 p.m. The FFA banquet will be held April 28 at 6 p.m.

A special Baccalaureate event will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4 for members of the LCC Class of 2025.

On Monday, May 5, the high school will put on its spring concert.

Honors Night at the school will take place at 7 p.m. May 6. The elementary school spring concert is on May 8, beginning at 6 p.m.

Commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2025 will take place at 2 p.m. on May 10.

The Middle School will hold its spring concert on May 12 and the annual elementary track and field day is set for May 13.

The last day of school will be May 16.
