Residents learn more about area childcare facilities

WYNOT — Bow Creek Area Early Learning Center recently held a stakeholders meeting.

Organizers were pleased with the attendance at the event. The aim of the group is to get a new childcare center up and running in the Wynot area.

A capital campaign for the effort has now begun.

Also, last week, Building Blocks Childcare Center in Laurel held an open house to showcase that new facility.

Extension Educator Jackie Steffen said these events show “there are great things happening in Cedar County for children and families.”
