Stewart, Kleinschmit earn honors at MidState speech meet

BATTLE CREEK — Cedar Catholic competed in the MidState Conference Speech meet Saturday.

Ava Stewart took second place honors in the Varsity Informative Speaking category.

Ben Kleinschmit finished the day in fifth place in the Varsity division of Oral Interpretation of Serious Prose.

Boone Central won the overall team award, while Wayne took home runner-up honors.

Cedar Catholic will hold its Community Speech Night on Monday, March 17 and will compete in the District Speech meet March 20, hosted by Hartington-Newcastle.
