WEST POINT — The Wynot Blue Devils met the West Point Beemer Cadets in Holiday Tournament first round action.
The Blue Devils competed well giving a solid account of themselves before seeing the game slip away by a 66-55 margin.
Factors in the game were an 8 to 5 advantage from three point range for the Cadets and a 12-4 deficit from the free throw line for the Devils.
The two teams started out in the opening quarter exchanging leads. The Cadets got five points from Bayden Doggett and a three-pointer by Hunter Doggett.
Wynot countered with four points from Nixon Heimes and a basket each from Killian Steinhaus, Andrew Haberman and Kasen Koch as they trailed 12-11 at the end of the first quarter.
