HARTINGTON - Robert F. Kathol, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kathol, Hartington, was elected treasurer of the freshmen class in the College Of Business Administration at Creighton University.

HARTINGTON - Two seniors, Bob Kruse of Hartington Public High school, and Miss Janet Lammers, of Holy Trinity High School, were named Saturday king and queen at the Hartington Chamber of Commerce annual Halloween dance at the Hartington City Auditorium.
Earlier in the evening,about 450 grade school children attended free movies at the Lyric Theatre.

HARTINGTON - Miss Mary Francis Heine and Earl Hansen were announced as the County’s outstanding 4H Club youths at Thursday’s 4H Achievement program. Earl has been a 4H Club member for seven years.
He has always carried swine at the fair. Hansen is a member of the Coleridge Livestock 4H Club.
Miss Heine has been a 4H member for six years.
She is a member of the St. Helena Hill and Dale 4H club.

HARTINGTON - Hartington’s Coast to Coast store, owned and operated by Herb Koehler, will celebrate its third anniversary Friday and Saturday with a sale, free gifts and door prizes.

HARTINGTON - Eight inches of snow fell in Hartington as a storm roared into the area yesterday.
The storm was Hartington’s first real taste of winter this season. Hartington Public and Holy Trinity schools were closed Thursday because of the storm. Drifts piled up in town and driving on country roads was difficult.
