
Area residents took time out of their busy schedules Monday to recognize the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The annual Veterans Day ceremony was held Monday afternoon at the Hartington Veterans Memorial. Veterans also put on programs at Arbor Care Center and for joint assembly for HNS and Cedar Catholic/ Holy Trinity students. Dan Kathol also gave a tour of the memorial to HNS and Holy Trinity students. Monday afternoon’s program drew about 50 people turn out. The names of the fallen were read by VFW member Steve Keiser and a 21-gun salute was then fired.
