Claire Gubbels, daughter of Michael and Lesley Gubbels, York, recently placed fifth at the National Pedal Pull held Sept. 28, in Mitchell, S.D. Gubbels placed first at the Nebraska State Pedal pull which qualified her for Nationals. She has competed the last six years, placing each time at state and qualifying for Nationals. This is the second year she has placed at Nationals. Gubbels is the granddaughter of Francis and Janelle Gubbels, Hartington.
