HARTINGTON — 4-H members across Cedar County are gearing up for the 2024 Cedar County Fair. A total of 40 4-H members participated in 4-H Project Day held June 6 in Hartington. Youth in attendance each made four projects to exhibit at the upcoming Cedar County Fair.

The projects included a bird feeder made from a clay pot and saucer. A wooden sign featuring assembly, staining and finishing to later be customized by the youth. Finally, tabletop foosball to be used as a game to play with toddlers. The youth also made a terrazzo clay dish utilizing different colors and methods of design.

These projects are all an introduction to building skills in different project areas, allowing the 4-H members to take them home, and customize their projects.
