Blood drive is great success

HARTINGTON – LifeServe Blood Center held a very successful blood drive in Hartington April 11, with a great turnout, with 31 donors registered to donate and 34 units of life saving blood collecte d. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 102 lives.

HARTINGTON — LifeServe Blood Center held a very successful blood drive in Hartington April 11, with a great turnout, with 31 donors registered to donate and 34 units of life saving blood collecte d. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 102 lives.

Several donors hit milestones with their most recent donation. They include, Andrea Hochstein, one gallon; Justin Lange, one gallon; Laura White, one gallon; Sally Opfer, three gallons; Marsha Wuebben, three gallons; Dustin Neuhalfen, seven gallons.

Duane and Elaine Arens helped to coordinate the event, which wa s hosted by the Hartington VFW.

Sign up for the next blood drive 12 :30-6 p.m., May 23, at the Hartington Trinity Lutheran Church.
