Gavins Point Dam spillway gates to be open until late May

CROFTON – Starting at 8 a.m. March 18, the Gavins Point Dam spillway gates will be open and will remain that way till the end of May this year.

CROFTON – Starting at 8 a.m. March 18, the Gavins Point Dam spillway gates will be open and will remain that way till the end of May this year.

This spilling will be the result of upgrades and maintenance in the power plant, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

People are asked to use caution and observe all signage during this time as they visit the dam, which crosses the Missouri River.
